This section enjoys both fresh and saltwater fishing, and organises half day, day and overnight(s) trips to Kaikoura, Akaroa, Moeraki, Lake Coleridge and Lake Brunner.

A yearly competition is held with the Canterbury Clubs.

The High Country opening at Lake Coleridge in November.

A Mid Winter Brass Monkey competition is another yearly event with other Canterbury clubs.

Little fishing takes place in the winter, although occasional non-fishing trips are organised.

Clubs New Zealand South Island trout competition is held yearly at various locations around the South Island in March of each year.

If you know of another place where the fish are willing to be caught, join the section and let the boys know. They would more than welcome the opportunity to organise a trip to your location.
